FAQ

  • What ages do we cater to at the nook?

Our space is designed for children ages 6mo-4 years old. For the littlest of littles, we have a tummy time area, a ballet bar for pulling to stand and for playing peek-a-boo, lots of cause and effect toys, soft mats for climbing and crawling, and a small lofted play structure with a slide that kiddos love. For the toddlers we have lots of pretend play, gross and fine motor activities designed to use the whole body while integrating as many senses as possible.

  • How long is a play session?

A play session is valid for up to two hours of open play. Time must be used all in one session and cannot be split.

  • Are socks required or can we go barefoot?

Socks are required for everyone in our space. Children are encouraged to wear trampoline socks as they have the best grips on the bottom and are the safest option for children playing. We have some for sale at the front desk that are great for storing in your diaper bag as your “nook socks!”

  • Do I have to stay onsite while my little one is playing?

Open play sessions require a caregiver present for every minor. Please understand, your supervision is required at all times.

  • Is there a space to store my stroller?

Our foyer at the nook is very small. However, we can accomodate a few strollers. But in an attempt to save space, please do your best to leave it behind if it’s possible! We don’t advise leaving it unattended outside.

  • Is food or drink allowed inside?

Clean snacks for kids are permitted in the foyer only. We do not allow food or drinks in our playspace. Please use the wipes located in our foyer to make sure your child’s hands and face are clean and free of residue before your child starts to play again after a snack. Please keep adult beverages in the foyer. Please note, we are a nut free facility. Spill proof containers and allergen free foods are always appreciated.

  • Where can I change my baby?

Our restroom is equipted with everything you might need to toilet your baby or toddler. We have a changing table, a potty seat insert, wipes, various size diapers, and extra clothes available for those unforseen potty accidents.

  • What is a play pod?

A play pod is onsite babysitting for a small group of children. Our awesome team members are CORI checked and properly vetted to watch your children during a play pod. A pod is best suited for a child 18 months-5 years old.

We do not change diapers or assist with the potty during play pods. If your child is in a diaper, leave them with a clean one and it will be sufficient for them to go 2 hours without a change. If your toddler is out of diapers, they must be independent with the potty to attend a play pod.

Play pods are designed to give the parent 2 hours of *alone time* while their kiddo has the time of their life filling up that tired tank at the nook!

  • Do I need to do anything prior to showing up for the first time?

It would save time if you signed our waiver prior to arriving at the nook for your first time. Every minor needs a waiver on file prior to entering our space. After it has been completed one, it’s kept on file for all future visits.
